Q. What does The Basement do?
A. The Basement works with people between the ages of 16-25 with a variety of issues which include mediation, advocacy, and workshops.
Q. How do I contact you?
A. You can find us on Facebook, email us, ring or please just pop in to see us at The Basement. You can find all our contact details on this website.
Q. How can you help me?
A. We can help with lots of issues just drop in to see us and you will be able to talk to a friendly fully trained member of our team.
Q. Do I need to make an appointment?
A. No, our Drop-in centre is open every weekday from 12 till 4 (3 pm on Mondays) so just pop in and see one of our friendly trained staff.
Q. Can you help me claim the right benefits?
A. We can help you apply for benefits and also make sure you are receiving the correct benefit and amounts.
Q. Can you find me somewhere to live?
A. We can help you get in touch and register with the local housing authority and other agencies that can provide housing. If you would like us to we will also accompany you to housing meetings.
Q. Can you help me find a job?
A. We can support you in searching for employment, writing your C.V. and also with interview skills. We run free Job Club workshops for clients on a regular basis.
Q. I need help budgeting, can you help me?
A. Yes we can, our youth workers are all trained to help you maximise your income and budget your money.
Q. Can I talk to you in confidence?
A. We offer a non-judgemental service so you can speak to us about any problems and/or issues you may be experiencing.
Q. I am over 25 can you still help me?
A. We do not turn anyone away and we will help you access the appropriate service for you.
Q. Is your service free?
A. Yes! There is no charge for any of our services.
